How to Connect Your Nanoleaf Lights to Thunderstorm, Soundstorm, or Firestorm for Nanoleaf

Follow these steps to connect your Nanoleaf lights to Thunderstorm, Soundstorm, or Firestorm for Nanoleaf.

  1. Tap Devices.
    Devices tab in Thunderstorm, Soundstorm, or Firestorm for Nanoleaf
  2. Tap Add Device or the plus icon.

  3. Tap Search or the magnifying glass icon.

Choose Your Nanoleaf Device Type

Connect a Nanoleaf Matter over Wi-Fi Device

  1. In the Nanoleaf App, tap More.

  2. Tap My Devices.

  3. Tap the device's menu icon, then tap Settings.

  4. Tap Connect to API, then tap Enable. The device will be available for discovery for 30 seconds.

  5. Return to Thunderstorm, Soundstorm, or Firestorm for Nanoleaf. When the device is discovered, enter a name for the device to complete the connection.

Connect a Nanoleaf Wall Light Device

Nanoleaf Wall Lights, such as Shapes and Lines, can also be connected using the controller instead of Connect to API.

  1. Press and hold the Power button on the controller for 5–7 seconds. The device will be available for discovery for 30 seconds.
  2. Return to Thunderstorm, Soundstorm, or Firestorm for Nanoleaf. When the device is discovered, enter a name for the device to complete the connection.
